I recently changed to an IMCO lower with only low water pickup and have some issues. I did however install a sea strainer at the same time as the IMCO lower.

I bet that if you fill in the top three holes and enlarge the bottom ones and massage them to scoop up the water it will solve your water pressure problem. Where you are at is the height of the drive on the glastron and I did that and it worked. Web25 nov. 2005 · a strainer will get some of the sand, but not all of it. But it can't hurt When I played in the sand, I had the drive trimmed in shallow water for a few hours rafted. I should have left it down, and let the skeg sit in the sand, because when it was trimmed, the pickup was in the sand. The Pro Et I'm running holds water so well that I can run the jackplate higher than the waterpickup will pick up water. This will definetly cure my problem. I found one for $300 and had my mechanic swap out the guts for another $300. Then I sold the LWP case on Ebay for $300.
