WebAn Impedance Analyzer is used to analyze capacitive and inductive elements. This section walks through setting up the Impedance Analyzer Instrument to capture the impedance and phase of a common capacitor over a default frequency range. It uses the Waveform Generator and Oscilloscope instruments in addition to an external reference resistor … Web4. Use the oscilloscope to probe at nodes A1 and A2. Figure 4 shows an example of the resulting waveform. 5. Select the oscilloscope’s average acquisition mode and set the number of averages to 128. This will reduce the effects of random noise on your measurements. 6. Set the oscilloscope to measure the four parameters listed below.
WebInductance measurement gives the average inductance value in Henries. The yellow waveform (CH1) is the voltage across the inductor and the blue waveform (CH2) is the current through the inductor. The plot on the left shows current, i versus ∫vdt, the slope of which is inductance. FIGURE 5. WebAs shown in Figure 11, these components are not tied to ground and differential measurement techniques are required. There are a few different ways to approach differential measurements with an oscilloscope: Use two single-ended probes and calculate the difference voltage (Not Recommended!)
WebSep 5, 2014 · You must connect a generator with a known signal (square, sine) at the input and use a two-channel oscilloscope. With a channel you see the input signal and the other channel to see the output. The phase relationship will tell you what the homopolar terminals.
